competition, went down 2-0 to Staffordshire Step 4 side Chasetown following
two appalling
decisions from Leicester official Martin Dexter, one a
sending off, and then wrongly awarding Chasetown a throw that led to their

season for Clifton F.C - on their present pitch. Green Lane is to be dug up as part of a
8m redevelopment project in partnership with a neighbouring college, where

showers, and meet FA standards. We now also be able to drain the pitch.

the site. The Club will then start the more intensive work of laying the
foundations for the new pitch in late-September. Eagle Valley is due to open

Nottingham Forest Ladies are in serious danger of going out of business. The
Reds need to raise 300 over the next three months just to be able to afford
training and travel costs. If the Club fail to secure some financial support
soon, then thirty seven years of history could come to an end. Chairwoman
Paula Andrews said: "We do get help from Forest, but with the Club being in
League One finances are tighter. We are going for promotion to the Women's
Premier League where we can pit ourselves against the really big team's in
women's football like the Arsenals and Charltons, but unless we get
sponsorship we won't just have no success, we will have no club." 10 September 2020 |
