CALVO'S PYRA-BID

Ambitious Calverton Miners Welfare have applied to join the footballing pyramid via the Central Midlands Premier League from the start of next season. The news will come as a bitter blow to the NSL, but will be a major coup for the CML, subject to grading.

 EAGLES GROUND TO A HALT

Arnold Town's proposed move to Eagle Valley has hit the buffers. The Club have to vacate their present Gedling Road home by the end of this season, and yet work has still to commence on their new home.

 CHEMISTS SEE RED

Boots Athletic have been presented with a new red strip from their American-based sponsors, The Effective Management Group .  The Chemists will continue to don their familiar blue and white home strip at Lady Bay, with the new strip used for away matches.
